Hi, I am learning to use Cadence. Can anyone help me explain what does these words mean?
Cadence_help.JPG

The Cadence analog design environment keeps track of three sets of nets and terminals:

  • The plotted set, which is automatically plotted after simulation in the Waveform window. The plotted set can also contain expressions.
  • The saved set, for which simulation data is written to disk.
  • The marched set, which is plotted in the Marching Waveform window during simulation.

The contents of all three sets of outputs are listed in the Outputs section of the Simulation window and in the Setting Outputs form.
In your figure,it seems all three signals will be plotted and all three will be saved after simulation. None will be marched during simulation.

Thanks, rahdirs, for detailed help.
Can you explain for me what does "Marching Waveform" mean? I really begin to use it and have no idea about it.
And what does "allv" stand for?

Marching Wave-forms are interactive waveform displays. They allow/enable simulation results to be incrementally plotted during the simulation.

"allv" - save "all voltages". Try using "all" & "alli".

Aha, thanks! Could you suggest some good materials to learn Cadence?

I've just followed tutorials of Virginia university.

For tutorials Google it,why even google just search on Edaboard forum:I found close to 10-15 different links, all asking similar questions & even 1 of them was yours.

Thanks, that is because I am not good at computer and therefore I always get stuck while following these tutorials!
