Hi all
i got my hands on an old degital power supply unit , the model is : koocu 1501t
it is 0-15 volt , with variable voltage and amperage
but unfortunately , it was not working,i opened it , it has a big transformer with one pair of wires as primary (220 v) and 3 pairs as secondery ( green - black and yellow) , measued them with a multimeter but there is no voltage comming out .searched for datasheet or any details about the transformer , and found nothing
i need to know the value of the three outpots voltages or how i can figure out the values ? so i can replace them .
thank you in advance , ad sorry for the bad english
Use a meter and find out the resistance of each winding, the primary (230) should be 10-50 ohms, the other ones less then 2 ohms. Transformers can be fixed unless they have burn't out - is it smelly and discoloured? Some times there is a thermal fuse imbedded in the windings which go open circuit, but can be repaired. Are you sure that the mains fuse has not blown?
