Hi friends
I have a PCBfile on protel dxp and there are some componenet on it, i want to define connections bye hand and do auto routing, is it possible( i don't have schematic ), i mean can i define or edit connections on PCB board by hand without building schematic ?
Regards

Navid T,

Although it is not best, Yes, you can. The simplest way, is disabling the short circuit rule. After that, you can route manually the traces.

If you want automatic route do not disable the short circuit rule, you can edit and create new nets, using Desing->Nets->Edit nets. After that, you can assign the nets to the pads you want to connect. Then running the autorouting will connect the new nets you create. You can also manually route the tracks by this way.

Thanks penrico, can i make nets by mouse instead of editing it from edit nets menu? I mean is there some option like " make net from selected pads "

Navid T,

I believe it's not possible. Why didn't you drawn the schematics?, this is the right way to route any board.

because i have some part that is not in schmatic library and i should make them myself and it's waste my time, i need just pcb board not schematic, i dont have much time to make them in both pcb library and schematic library too!!
