Hi all,

I'm currently reading a research paper about performance analysis. I found this expression :
P(d|y1,y2)=Q(√2(d1y1+d2y2))
where y1 and y2 are instantaneous SNR. d1 and d2 are hamming distance of two different event.

Does anyone know how and why hamming distance can be used there? what is the relation between hamming distance and instantaneous SNR ?

Thanks !
