Guard ring poly lenght

Is it a good practice to have the guard ring poly length same as the poly length in the device? If so why?

It might be useful to see an example of what you are trying to do. Is it a FinFet process?

Does the foundry documents not provide recommendations about these things or have the new generation engineers have stopped reading them?
