Is there a simple circuit i could make that when connected in series with a light bulb, the light bulb turns on gradually when I flip the switch to complete the circuit to ground?

Try to use SCR with a small firing angle first then increment its firing angle by using a 555 timer. I'll try to complete the circuit. But i think it is a simple solution
