For basic electromagnetics I'm studying Griffiths.
But I will be needing a better text book for learning engineering related topics like Transmission lines, wave guides etc...

three books I have in mind are following (I have read none & need a clear suggestion of book that explains things clearly)
1. Advanced Engineering Electromagnetics (Balanis)
2. Field & Wave Electromagnetics (Cheng)
3. Fields & Waves in communication Engineering (Ramo)

microwave engineering by David M pozar is a great practical resource for a wide range of topics in the field. Older editions are same material with newer versions mainly changing the homework problems.
Elements of Electromagnetics by Sadiku is good too.

Balanis book has been solid in industry for 20 yrs from quick google search and is highly recommended. I haven't used it so I can't personally endorse. You may be able to find digital versions of those books for free online. At least to preview.

3rd and 4th edition, probably 2nd as well. editions have same content with different homework problems.
