I struggled very much to get started in computational electromagnetics. The resources I found were either too complicated for a beginner or so oversimplified the methods I was not left with anything useful. I am starting this thread for others to post any resources they found that helped them get started.

I have created several things intended for the complete beginner. First, is a book that teaches finite-difference frequency-domain (FDFD) to the complete beginner. Here is a link to the book website:

I have also created some online courses intended to teach finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) to the complete beginner. Here is a link to a video that showcases and explains what is contained in these courses:

If interested, here is a link to the actual online courses:

I have also posted all of the notes and lecture videos from the classes I teach at the University of Texas at El Paso. I think these are a bit more advanced and may also benefit from being taught face-to-face. The online courses above are much better.

EM Analysis Using FDTD: https://empossible.net/academics/emp5304/

Computational Electromagnetics: https://empossible.net/academics/emp5337/

I am interested to see what other resources are available to the complete beginner.
