how to convert a gerber file into max file

Hi folks,

I am trying to design an add-on pcb that will sit on top of a development board but because they are using some very obscure margins between connectors I am having quite a few problems matching them.

I do however have the gerber files for the development board so I was wondering if there is any chance I can import that gerber file (just the connectors part actually) into OrCAD Layout either in to my .max file or even in to the Library Manager as a custom footprint..

Any ideas?

Thanks!

gerber to orcad

Export gerbers to DXF then import into layout. This gives you template to work with.

Regards,

M
