Hello all to Dear friends
Im trying to copy a gal16v8
i read file with top programmer but im not sure its copy protected or not.
also i need to help convert this file to jedec.

Any GAL programmer that I have seen so far was able to write .jed files. How can we know what your so-called bin file (actually ASCII text) means? What is "top programmer"? Please give a link to the manufacturer and user manual.

Your programmer (software) should be able to read the chip and write a .jed file to the HDD.

im reading with top3000 its saving hex file not jed file.My friend should write file (far from me) with ttl866 is asking jed file.

What you have posted is neither a valid hex file, it misses length, address and checksum fields.

According manual it should be able to save as .jed file.
Just choose .jed as file format.

I recommend to read the manual, or use the "help".
Maybe you need to use "save as" or similar.

If you need more detailed help you should provide more detailed information.
Like: software name, software version, screenshots...

at my programmer there os no way to save it as jed file
its reading like that,but saving as jed

The shown fuse map is almost empty, but not completely. It doesn't look like the readout of a protected device, but neither like a meaninful logic description. Or does the application suggest a mostly empty fuse map?

ALL GAL families have copy protection. Any designer will activate protection of his product.
I do have copied protected PLDs and CPLDs, but it requires a fully working PCB, Schematic extraction of PCB if it is not available, and then by trial and error, recreating (not coping by a programmer) a PLD equivalent PLD file
