hi ...i made a simple rectifier circuit . but there is problem that when i supplies power to circuit then fuse get blows .every thing is fine no short circuit ,circuit looks fine ...what is the problem please help me it is my project part. this circuit is given below..

If that really is a bridge rectifier and not a single diode, it should work. The inrush current as the capacitor charges might be enough to blow the fuse but you can fix that by adding a small resistor in series with the fuse. Ideally use an NTC thermistor but you can prove the point by using a fixed 10 Ohm resistor.

and also it looks like you have a polarised capacitor across an AC line, so that will go short and blow the fuse.
(or is that just the way youve drawn it?, and not how you actually have it connected)

The diode should be in series with the AC feed not in parallel. Make sure you wire it in the correct way around else the capacitor will explode. I would test the diode you might have already blown it up.

Dear Muhammad;
please draw your complete circuit exactly as is built.

Drawing a single, erroneously connected diode with a label "full wave bridge rectifier" is no substitute to you showing us exactly how you wired the bridge rectifier.

thanks alot to all for reply me.the problem has been fixed.actualy capacitor inrush current was high than fuse ratting thats why fuse eas blowing...againg thanks all of your reply..
