fundamental & overtone crystal

I am so confusing of fundamental and overtone crystal.

who can tell me the difference between them?

Fundamental mode is basic mode of oscillation. It's freq. is 1*f. Overtone modes are roughly odd multiplies of this frequency 3*f, 5*f, ...

IF you use a cystal under 30Mhz , the cystal will work at fundamental mode. IF the frequence larger than 30Mhz, the crystal have to work at overtone model. the circuits for cystal of fundametntal mode and overtone mode is difference!
