Hello,

How to read an electronic schematic?
How to identify its different labels and part?

How to figure if its functional or not?

What is the role of a resistor inside an electronic circuit?
What is the role of a capacitor inside an electronic circuit?
What is the role of a inductor inside an electronic circuit?
What is the role of a diode inside an electronic circuit?
What is the role of a transistor inside an electronic circuit?

The answer hoped is not to be definitions. Actual work...

thanks,

Though, not specific but actually:

What is the role of a resistor inside an electronic circuit?
Resistor: as voltage, current limiting, timing etc divider

What is the role of a capacitor inside an electronic circuit?
Capacitor: Filter, ripples rejection, timing etc

What is the role of a inductor inside an electronic circuit?
Inductor: low-pass filter, stores energy in a magnetic field

What is the role of a diode inside an electronic circuit?
Diode: rectification, voltage control, DC anti-reverse protection etc

What is the role of a transistor inside an electronic circuit?
Transistor: Switching, current gain etc

Their uses are almost limitless!

You can simply ignore the post if so

What other members reply, couldn't be found in any book:

It is way easy to google it, and I can get 1000+ PDF telling about all. This is not my point.
When a member answer such questions from his points of view, experience, this is considered the real answer.

There are no rules about quantities of question via post, plus if this really bothers you chuckey simply ignore rather than commenting in an offensive way

Depends on who made the schematic and what tool was used. Most good schematics will have reference designations like:
Uxxx - ICs
Rxxx - Resistors
Cxxx - Capacitors
Lxxx - Inductors
Jxxx - Jumpers/Connectors
see...https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reference_designator for a full list.

If the schematic was done well then the designer will put in values for the various passive components and will add notes for any requirements for various active components like transistors/op-amps.

This sort of goes along with reading the schematic. You need to read and understand what happens when you connect that resistor to that capacitor and then to ground...etc. Depending on the components on the schematic that could require reading a book on microelectronics or a book on digital design and perhaps one on signal integrity and transmission lines.

If that liquefies the contents of your noggin, then you can always just build a PCB of the schematic and watch it catch on fire and burn to a crisp! (now where did I leave that bag of marshmallows?)

Actually if a design is complex enough you can only check it so much before you eventually have to build it (or end up fired for never finishing your job).
Hopefully the magic smoke that makes the ICs work doesn't escape from the packages. ;-)
