As I known, there are 3 types of FTP server:
vsftpd, wu-ftpd, pure-ftpd

Which one should be chosen to integrate into embedded linux system? Why?

Re: Embedded FTP server

Yeah. TFTP is a smallest tool for transmiting files.
Well, does it suppport a remote client get what he want from the server?

When the remote client in same LAN type "ftp://192.168.x.x" in his web-browser, he should see the directory of FTP server, and can upload or download files.

Might TFTP implement these functions?

Thanks

Re: Embedded FTP server

Thanks for Paul. well, maybe you mis-understand my meanings.

The box with embedded FTP server acts as a PC, it can connect to LAN and provide FTP service. Any PC in same LAN, can access the box and download or upload any file from the box.

When a user in his own PC, type "ftp://192.168.x.x" in web browser, he can see the directory of FTP server in the box.

So,,,there are 3 choices: wu-ftpd, pure-ftpd, vsftpd.

Well,,,I have found that FTP is not supported in Busybox, they didn't work well in Busybox.
