First off I don't know if there are differences between Indian companies and those in the USA as to resume formats, but I'll make some comments based on my experience.

Get rid of the Personal Information section. You're better off not telling them stuff like your father's name and your birthday in a resume.
The declaration comes off wrong...especially as so many recent graduates over embellish their credentials to the point of making themselves out to be the top graduate from their school.
A recent grad's resume shouldn't be nearly 2 pages long. I've got 25+ years experience and have a 2 page resume. I even have a version that is 1 page.
You need to go online and look at resume samples and learn to write a resume that is both concise (no fluff to make it longer) and shows abilities and knowledge that will benefit the prospective employer.

If you were conducting a resume bombing of every VLSI company along with a carbon copy cover letter. It's more than likely that your resume was relegated to the round filing cabinet (i.e. Trash can) on the floor of the first tier bored HR employee. This is the reason you want keywords that the company is looking for and a short resume. If that first tier employee can't scan the resume quickly and get what they are looking for out of all the "fluff" (e.g. the names of your advisers on projects (only makes sense if the adviser is buddies with high level mangers at that company)) then the resume is discarded.

You also need to use targetted cover leters (which is where you market yourself) that point out the qualities that will make you useful for the company and back up those claims with references to things in your resume. If you can't catch someones attention with the cover letter then they won't even look at the resume.

Good luck on your job search.

Regards
