Frame Relay & SDH

frame relay is a protocol which works on layer-2 of OSI, and work on the concept of virtual connections.
SDH, is a technique which carries data optically, and one can drop any stream without a lengthy process, but directly. it may have more than two nodes, which are all synchronous.

i don't think that one should see difference between these two, because they are used in different environments.
