i would like to ask if i can use FPGA to interface the ASUS Xtion Pro and transmit its output to a software using wi-fi.

thanks for the reply.

i only have to write the Verilog code for the interface of ASUS Xtion Pro for the FPGA to read the output? is it feasible to connect the FPGA through wi-fi?

The question isn't very specific. "transmit its output to a software using wi-fi" sounds like the job of a basic wifi-to-USB hub which can be better purchased from the shelf.

just like that, but my focus is how to implement the FPGA with wi-fi and the ASUS Xtion Pro.

Your choice of course. Just wanted to mention that the pure hub function is an existing product. In my view, interfacing the sensor through FPGA only makes sense if additional data processing is intended, otherwise it's like reinventing the wheel.

Technically you'll implement an USB host (for the Xtion Pro) and either an ethernet interface or the connection to a Wifi chip with ethernet hardware stack. That's feasible but possibly over your head.
