Fourier trasnform of Rectangular pulse

Hi ,

I had the following doubt in dtft of rectangular pulse :
When we take fft of a rectangular pulse say h=1 for n=0 to N-1.
Then in some books i reffered give the dtft as sinc function only. But why don't they consider the exponential term with sinc function.
