reversing a motor using sensor

i need a help for the controlling of Dc motor using LDR i use it in my car park project i nned also the circuit for the counter and decounter of it i hope anyone help me thanks..

I think you can use up/down counters like 74192-3. It has two inputs which will trigger either the up counter or down counter. Use two LDR. One will be placed outside your car park and the other inside as this will indicate wether you are about to get in or when you are already in. Just see the specification sheet on how to use this IC.

I think you can consider with PIC microcontroller.
It is more good performance than IC.
This depend on how much quality you need.

ei you idea is great the ic has two trigger and it can be done but can you help me constructing a circuit where the LDR is the main switch to trigger the counter
