floating point no in digital siganl processor

i m studing digital signal processing & programming for processor. i want some stuff regarding floating point arithmatic & fixed point arithmatic in DSP. can somebody help me where i will get links on net?

check this out for fixed point from matlab
u can refer richard lyon's understanding DSP.it's in the forum posted by nand_gates.
it gives a better understanding of floating and fixed point.

I have seen this file regarding fixed point representation.

Pl can you send some more link which give a basic idea betwen fixd and floating point representation. As I am using Floting point TI kit but first I have to understand whta is these representation. Pl help me.
