flexlm license manager

I use cadence 5033 in redhat 9.0 and mentor calibre 2004

when I start with cadence, it works well.

but when I push the menu button "calibre DRC" in layout tool,

error statement appear.

"the license manager of vendor daemon is too old"

"calibre license problem"

how to upgrade Flexlm license manager daemon in Redhat 9.0 ?

thanks

Are You use license remotely ?
If no, then don't run lmgrd !
Only need to point $CDS_LIC_FILE variable.

calibre license daemon

You can use one single license file and in that file insert features from both Cadence and Mentor provided that the FLEX license software is the latest revison of them both. This means that you can use a FLEXLM package from Mentor of version say ~10.0 with Cadence products that was shipped with FLEX version 9.0

This means that your license server only needs one installation of FLEXLM.

First there's the server text lines, then below this line you simply put e.g. "daemon mgcld c:\path...\mgcld.exe" Then below this line next "daemon cdslmd c:\path...\cdslmd.exe"

Below these lines you simply copy/paste so that all features from respective vendor appears.

I think you start "lmgrd" with IC5033, try to use "lmgrd" that calibre2004 has.
Just search the "lmgrd" that you have, & update your shell.
Different daemon with different flexlm better.
