flash symbol used in thermal pad

Hello ,
i am new user of allegro i have been problem with flash symbol.
1. i want to know why we used flash symbol in thermal pad.
2. if make thermal pad without using flash symbol. it is wrong or right.

Flash symbol mainly used on inner layer pad.it is mainly used for to avoid the heat transfer in inner layer
