dear people
i want to transfer file from one computer to another using parallel port .how to do this in vb. i think i need to use mscomm but can anyone please provide me the small code.

as far as i remember you can use hyperterminal if the computers are windows.
i can recommend you a site about parallel port programming basics.

you can use sample codes on this site for to make your own program for file transfer
 

mscomm is for serial ports.

Do you just want to transfer files manually or is this part of a bigger project?

You could obtain a copy of laplink and a laplink cable.

Personally I'd buy a couple of network cards and a crossover cable rarther than mess about with parallel ports.
