I am working on a project on"distance protection of a series compensated line".
My first task is to create a simulink model of the power system and then use the current and voltage datas from the power system model, remove its noises and the sub synchrounous components using FFT and reverse FFT and then implement these filtered datas in the distance location algorithm.

My problem is tht since i m new in matlab so i dont know how to extract data from the simulink and secondly help me to filter out those noises and sub-synchronous components using FFT.

please answer considering me a newbie...thanx in advance.
