FAT16 used on CompactFlash

I am working on a project with a 1GB Compactflash memory card and we have to use a FAT16 file system. I'm searching information on the subject so feel free to give me some information on that...... :?:

you can use BASCOM which is a basic compiler for AVR microcontrollers. It supports commands to communicate with a compact flash and also commands to handle a fat16 file system
