Hello everybody!
Recently I purchased a power supply for 150 W (20 V and 7.5 A) xenon short-arc lamp. As I tried to ignite the lamp for the first time I succeeded. However, the next time I failed. After that there were only a very few times when it started. Last days I failed whenever I tried to ignite it.
What could have caused this? I know that it hadn't been used for more than 10 years. In addition, the arc seemed to flash considerably. Maybe electrodes (image attached) are worn? The image is taken from one PDF, these are not electrodes of my lamp but look very similar to those of my lamp.
Best regards
