Extend USB cable length beyond 5 meters

Extend USB cable length

Does anybody knows how to extend usb cable length far
beyond the 5 meters. What kind of chip ( ie linedriver ) can
be used for a such application ?

First You can use active extension cable, it is just USB hub with one connector.
Second, I have find in some internet shop cables that have ~41m (orignal length was measured in ft), it is made of fiber optics, but I don`t know any specyfication, since it was end-user product.
