Hi,

Could somebody explain me clearly how to export an inductor layout from Momentum to Cadence Virtuoso? I generated a gds2 file in Momentum and tried to import it in Cadence.
After importing the file, the Cadence reports that the import was successful. However, I can't see the inductor (actually nothing) when I open the layout. I suppose that my layer definition in Momentum and Cadence is not identical and may cause this problem. Any suggestions?

thanks in advance

I would recommend to create the translation table for the GDSii import/export. If you know what layers are used in momentum then the same are (probably ) exported to gdsII. Then the translation table can convetr those layers to cadence layers.
The other thing is that you need to have a technology file in cadence library you are importing the gds2. If you do not have it you won't see anything.
And - what you can also try is to set all layers in technology file visible/selectable and manualy convert them to desired layers.
It is not as hard as it sounds.
