chain test ?

Below are TMAX chain test options , anyone know which one to be select ? and why ?

HAin_test <OFf | 0011 | 0101 | 1000 | 0111 | <string>>

OFf - Do not generate pattern.
0011 - (Default) Generate a repeating pattern of 0011...
0101 - Generate a repeating pattern of 01...
1000 - Generate a pattern of 0's lead by a 1 (that is, 10000...000)
0111 - Generate a pattern of 1's lead by a 0 (that is, 01111...111)

Re: chain test ?

I would imagine the various patterns are for making scan debug easier. You can tell more about the nature of the failure with different patterns.

or DFT talk/info go to:

chain test ?

that's right . in fact tmax dump out scan_chain test pattern by default .

TMAX generate sacn_chain test parrent only for debug if you suspect you have scan chian failed .

Re: chain test ?

hi,

The default from Tetramax(0011) is best. And the reason for the same is that it takes into account all the transitions.

0011

0 -> 0
0 -> 1
1 -> 1
1 -> 0
