I want to excite a capacitively loaded coil for wireless power transfer studies. I used a coil connected to a port on the airbox by a parallel transmission line. However the mode of the coil was not fully excited. Any ideas of how to match the signal passing through the waveport to the capacitively loaded coil?

Thank you

The coil and capacitor values should be chosen to match the current. It is related to impedance matching.

A large Henry value is associated with low current, larger voltage swings, and low frequency.

A small capacitor value is associated with low current, larger voltage swings, and high frequency.

The formulae for inductive and capacitive impedance can be guidelines.
