Hello,
I have discovered a schematic containing an excellent CCFL Driver IC.
It drives the CCFL direct from the 400V PFC Bus via a half-bridge (pulse transformers to drive both fets).
it is also dimmable.
(There is no need to pre-convert to a low voltage first)
The chip is called BD9247F-HVE2
It has 18 pins.
i can find nothing for it on google, but have seen them on PCB's.
...so someone somewhere has made them.
possible candidate manufacturers are.....................
