Hello everyone
I want to use Ethernet/Serial converter device. What I need is , for example from PC side ; I send 1byte, the converter appeneds with it tcp header/footer and at remote side I evaluate that single byte sent using TCP sockets. SAme is the case in reverse direction. I have seen devices like "SocketEthernet IP from mutitech.com", "EM-202 from tibbo.com" etc. but can't found enough documentation. I actucally need to built application myself for both sides. If someone has used such devices or can help me in this regard, I shall be very thankful to him/her..

Regards
Shoaib Ali

I have finished a project like this at last year ago. I use RCM2200 microprocessor module from www.zworld.com. He provide me a lot of document and sample source code. Really, I just only modify his sample code.

hi,
i solved similar issue with of the shelf product.
I used ovislink wifi access point and changed firmware inside. It is linux box with eth, wlan and serial interface.
SDK for that linux distribution is free available.
Cost is abt $60 for complete product. So it worth to try.
