phy to phy

Hi,
Can anybody suggest how to interface an ethernet PHY to another ethernet PHY?
Any references for that?I am planning to interface IP101 of ICPLUS with BCM5338?
Thanks in advance.

ethernet phy interface

Why do you want to do that??? What is a purpose???

phy-to-phy

In our application – 2 numbers of MII data streams come from the FPGA at 100Mbps rate with different source and destination MACs and we need to pass them through the Broadcomm's BCM 5338 switch. BCM 5338 does not have two MAC ports and because of that we are trying to convert the MII digital data into Ethernet differential data using ICPLUS's IP101 (one for each stream) and connect to BCM5338 PHY port 0 and PHY port 1. Here we need some guidance regarding the terminations and interface between the BCM5338 and IP101A.

I hope it will give some idea about our application.
