ETA1412 digital temperature controller, fuse size from specs

Hi,

I'm wiring in a ETA1412 digital temperature controller and I'm getting a little confused with the running power fuse rating.

On the 7/8 pin details it states that its a "184-253V AC 50/60Hz 3AV" but it's also stating at the fuse "F 100mA 250V". Does this mean I should be fitting a 100mA fuse or a 3A fuse?

Hi Simon,
You will need the 100mA fuse.
The sign on the 7/8 pin is for the power supply ratings. Don't confuse it with the fuse.

sepe is correct.

Also, you have mis-read the diagram. It says 3VA not 3AV. In other words 3 watts in simplistic terms. That is around 12.5mA.

I think the VA AV was a typo rather than a missread ... I have this KINESIS keyboard that I'm not quite used to yet Nice to know that it's a power rating though. I take it that the amps is calculated by 3VA / 253V??

Correct. VA = volts.amps which is sort of power if you ignore the power factor.
