Errors in install Intel Embedded Graphics Driver for XFRee86

When I installed the Intel Embedded Graphics Driver for XFRee86, and startx, the following errors occured,

.....
Unresolved symbol fbScreenInit in intel_drv.o
Unresolved symbol fbPictureInit in intel_drv.o

What's the reason?

have you modified the XF86Config file?

maybe your try edit the Make file from the driver installtion .
