Error when installing DC on RedHat 9

dc install problem

i install dc on redhat9(the lower version didn't support my video card,can't into x-windows),but fail,the error messages are below:

starting instation...please do not interrupt
installing syn product ,platform_imdependent package,v-2004.06-sp2 version
uncompress </home/dc/syn.tar | (cd/usr/synopsys.tar xvf-)>
uncompress:command not found.
error:uncompress/tar.error. stop
error:install failed

i'm not sure my steps are all right,anybody who could give me a installation tutorial?

dc install problem

just open the install scrpit and replace uncompress with gzip -d.thats all u need to do.

use the command:
ln -s /usr/bin/gunzip /usr/bin/uncompress

zcat --uncompress
is ok too.
