error in compile c cource code useing Winavr

i try to compile (SOSSE - Simple Operating System for Smartcard Education)
u cane fild it at https://www.mbsks.franken.de/sosse/
my working file is ftp://ftp.franken.de/pub/crypt/chipcards/sosse/sosse-20030413.tar.gz

i using WinAvr but meny error happen

like" hal.c:51: error: invalid lvalue in unary `&' "
for line " outb(0xFF,DDRC); "




any one can help me in copiling it for my avr at90s8515

outb(0xFF,DDRC);

This function is now depreciated with the newer versions of Winavr.

Just assign values to the registers as follows:

DDRC = 0xFF;

If you don't want to change the source code you may be able to achieve this using a MACRO or just by installing an older version of Winavr (or avrgcc for windows).
