Ordinary reflectors are nothing more than conductive media which have minimal losses and near ideal reflection. Wereas an absorber is characterized by its power loss.

However to interact with an E or H vector the appropriate materials must be present in an absorber.

What materials typically constitutes an EMI absorbing material? How is the E vector diminished and with what materials?
