Hello,
I have developed a USB Protocol Analyzer that i plan to market and sell on the Internet. Since this is a device that will be used in a laboratory/industrial setting I understand it is a "Class A" device in FCC parlance. Can anyone tell me what *minimal* testing i can get away with to sell it legally in the US? In my view the standards are way too complex to even understand for a 1 man operation so if anyone can explain how to do this on a shoestring i would appreciate it!
Are all electronics devices sold *required* to pass formal FCC requirements? For instance, there are a large number of hobby electronics kits and other similar devices that i doubt have been formally EMC tested.
Also, what can i *minimally* do to sell it legally in the EU?
Thanks,
/John.
