embedded block coding in jpeg2000

hi frds,

i am going to implement jpeg2000's EMBEDDED BLOCK CODING block in verilog.

in this i need to take the pixel values of the image(2D array) and convert it in to binary format (gives 3D array) and i have to process each 2D array block(have to take each slice) separate in the 3D array .......



plz help me how to store array (the pixel values) and how to access them .....
