Eligibility~Physics Ph.d in U.S for Indian

I am an Indian doing my masters in science ( physics). I want to know what all exams I have to erite to get into Physics ph.d in experimental physics (not theoretical physics) Do I have to write G.R.E(general test) "or Advanced G.R.E(subject test) for physics "or " both. What are eligibility for the Inidan student.
What are opportunities after the 911 incident.
Can any one suggest some universities that take Indian student.

Unfortunately 9/11, and you are right, alienated some people against some people and vice-versa in the globe.

GRE is required not only for non-USA citizens but also for USA citizens too. There is an exception rule not written anywhere. Let say: you have two patents of inventions in your pocket I guarantee you no one will care if you ever took GRE test but automatically are cordially invited.

To tell the truth the better you score on those the better are the chances towards your own goal. I think this is rule of thumb. As far as suggestion what universities that matters not. Write to any of it. Just do consider your monetary issues.

i think if you are from good school with one or two good papers it's possible to suppress the saliency of GRE.for example,if you are from TIFR(Tata Institute of Fundamenatal Research),India then you can easily overcome the conventional way of the selection procedure.
