Which sensor will be suitable for the floor sensor of an elevator. Is is effective and reliable to use limit OR reed switch.
there is also possibility of using magnetic binary sensor but i don't know much about them.
Help me to solve this problem in sensor selection

sensors in elevator system

Why don't you use a photodiode instead. It's worth a try .Anyway your project is fabulous and very exciting

photo diode is not used because it is sensitive to light& temp. i.e it is effected by ambient
