Hello every one,

please i need a best suggestions from you.
I need to prepare adjustable voltage and current for electroplating.

And also please suggest me how can i sense the high voltage at the output.
I need to sense a high dc voltage after completion of electroplating and the voltage is given as interrupt to the micro-controller.

Please also view the attachment for electroplating where i found in one of the thread.
Some one please explain about that circuit.

Hi,

pleas give specifications in numbers and units.

Voltage, current frequency and all ather related values.

Dear klausST,

Thank you for your response.

Specifications:

Input will be 230 VAC 50 Hz.

CURRENT: precise 1mA to 1 Amp
VOLTAGE: 0-24v

And also please suggest, after completion of electroplating etching there will be a sudden high voltage change.
So i need to sense the sudden voltage change and it will be an interrupt to controller.
Suggest some circuits to sense the voltage.

Thanks & Regards.

Hi,

define "precise"
define "sudden high voltage change"

Why don´t you modify the given circuit for 24V and 1A? What´s wrong with that?

Use DAC or low pass filtered PWM for voltage/current setup.

Regulating pure DC with low ripple is somehow difficult. Please decide if it is possible to use a controlled SCR rectifier.

Your circuit shows linear regulation. This is very lossy, much heat to dissipate with a big heatsink.
Have a look for SMPS, they can deliver the power with high efficiency and voltage ripple of some 10mV.

Suggest some circuits to sense the voltage.
for DC with negligible ripple: Resistive voltage divider with capacitor for low pass filtering. ucontroller internal or external ADC.

For controlled rectified sine or DC with a lot of ripple you need to decide if you need average current or RMS current.
