I have the attached electromagnet in an industrial vacuum cleaner, it's used to knock the dust off the filter periodically.
It's control panel failed, and unfortunately it's fully covered with black synthetic resin.
I carefully peeled off the resin and managed to fix the vacuum motor control, it works fine, but when it tries to drive the magnet it burns out an 56ohm 5W resistor and vacuum motor control dies.
So I would like to make a simple button which could be used to drive the magnet instead of the automatics, separately from the main pcb.
The question is: on the magnet there is a "0.2s" marking, may that mean it could only be engaged for 200 msec?
Couldn't find this particular type of magnet with google.
thanks,
Zedman
