hi all,

Please i need to know if the ECG data obtainable on physionet.org contains noise, or has been filtered....

I downloaded an ECG file from the PTB Diagnostic ECG database(ptdb), and am trying to plot it using
Visual Basic, but my plot does not look like the one on the website...please what do i do?

Hi bioda,I too try with the data from physionet.org and my code is written in matlab i get the correct answer, I don't know whether your code is right, better you try with some other datas...
Hope It May be Helpful...

Signal in ATM wiever on phisionet.org shows the result that You should obtain. It is a reference. The description of that DB is laconic. Probably it is 16 bit per channel, but I can't find informatin about byte order i.e. the signal can be ordered byte0 byte1 or byte1 byte0.
The most populad DB is an MIT-BIH Arrythmia Database. The coding is little bit more complicated than 16b/channel, but is well described on Phisionet.org

Thanks, a full description of the DB is below.
