Hi,

Think thats is because its down to you what pins the Can modules uses.

See the datasheet PPS section register RPINR26 on page 224.
 
As wp100 indicated many of the peripheral module I/O must be mapped to a specific physical pin of the device.

This approach allows the device to offer many different peripheral modules, while conserving the number of require port pins to only those peripheral modules utilized.

The required techniques of mapping are covered in the following reference:
