Hi,

I am wondering if we don't charge and use the e-bike battery for more then a year then what happen. How often we need to charge these batteries ? In case it has not been charged and used for more then a year then what could happen ? I have tired to connect the charger but it does not start charging.

* Electrical contact tabs acquire tarnish as time goes by, just sitting in the air. Examine any contact you can put your eyes on, use a magnifying glass. Clean away, sand away, use steel wool, fingernail file, etc., on any dingy copper you find.

* Another holdup could be low initial voltage on your battery. Some smart chargers do not begin charging unless it detects a battery whose voltage is in a certain range. Your battery is probably depleted after a year idle. You may need to apply a few volts to it manually for a while, just to bring up battery voltage so it gets recognized.
