It is an electric-assisted bicycle. It runs on a weak motor – only 250W, brush. In addition, a Chinese controller and laptop accumulators were used in this construction. All that was closed in a housing made of lids from electrical boxes.
e-bicycle is charged by 200W modelling charger. Key switches the 10S battery set to 5S (two halves of battery in series for riding, and in parallel for charging). Charge with balancing.
In this bicycle, chain was replaced with toothed belt (tooth profile HTD with module M8). Small pulley was brought from the ready pulley and welded with brought gear of Schamiano 7-speed hub.
Speed change mechanism can be attached to the hub, but it cannot interfere with width of the pulley. In this case it was 20mm belt, reduced to 15mm.
Large pulley should have 75 teeth. It was made of epidian 5 and glass mat.
Brought form with cut and glued belt as a model for making teeth.
Everything was covered with paraffin before laminating, so it could be easier to divide (candle and the heat gun).
You have to cut the frame to place the belt. It could be done like that:
After assembling, just add a roll in the back. It is a belt tension, but additionally provides the lead.
