Hi Folks,
I have installed a program called "
DynIP Client" Version 5.51 for Windows 7 which I downloaded from the Dynip.com website.
I have tried several times to install it on my Windows 7 PC
and the programs "Client control panel" will not open.
The Dynip Client Icon is visible in the system tray on my Windows7 Start Bar and shows that it is running
however, it has a small Yellow circle with an Exclamation mark and no matter what I do
to try and open up the Clients Control Panel... it will not activate.
All it says when I run the Mouse pointer over the Icon in the system tray is
"Dynip Client No Internet Name".
I have tried to double click on the Icon and also Right Click on it and select
"Properties".
Yet it will still not open up the control Panel.
Anyone know how I can correct this issue so that the DynIP Client control Panel will open?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
-Gerry

I was reading the User's Manual
http://www.dynip.com/docs/DynIP%20Client%20v5.5%20User%20Guide.pdf for the DynIP Client and it states the following to activate the Client Control Panel:
To Start the DynIP Client Control Panel
To access any of the DynIP Client settings,
double-click
on the DynIP logo (the ‘ball’ icon) in the
Windows Task Bar (system tray) at the bottom of
your screen to open the Control Panel. The
DynIP Control Panel icon is also available in
your computer's control panel folder (Start-
>Settings->Control Panel).
However I don't see any option at all, just the usual Control panel categories.
?
Any Ideas ?

Ok I'm here to answer my own Post.
I finally figured out the issue I was having.
So here it is:
The "Dynip Control Panel (32-bit)" Icon can only be accessed through the Windows Control Panel in Windows 7.
Activate your Windows 7 Control Panel as normal. Start > Control Panel
Now you may be viewing the Windows 7 control Panel by "CATEGORY" which only shows categories like
- System and Security
- Network and Internet
- Hardware and Sound
- Programs
- User accounts and Family Safety
etc.
In order to see the "Dynip Control Panel (32-bit)" icon... you must select the "VIEW BY" drop down list in the upper Right corner of your Windows Control panel window... and then select "VIEW LARGE ICONS".
Once you do this, you will then be able to see all the applications stored in the Windows Control panel
including the "Dynip Control Panel (32-bit)" program Icon.
Double click on the Icon to Activate it and your good to go.
So I hope this will help Windows 7 Users of the DynIP.com Client.
Cheers!
