CoWorker copied a mentor dxdesigner/expedition from my drive and tried to open on his computer, getting an error "Unable to open ICDB connection"

*** Project Initialization Warnings ***
CDB opening failed: No server is running for the project and could not bring it alive (Could not run server)
*** End Of Project Initialization Warnings ***
*** Project Initialization Warnings ***
Snapshot creation failed: Database is not opened
*** End Of Project Initialization Warnings ***

Tried the migration tool across network drive, no help.
Tried repair. No help.

Welcome to the annoying world of Mentor Graphics. If you're under maintenance then by all means contact Mentor and have them help you.

It sounds like SOMETHING didn't get copied correctly. Why DxDesigner needs to generate about 200 files for a single schematic is beyond me; but that's what they do. You might try posting on the Mentor Graphics user-to-user groups; that's often helpful:

**broken link removed**

- Go to the directory <design>/database/cdbserver
- rename/delete the file sAdress.adr

Now you should be able to open the design.

Have Fun
